I’m Dawn, and together with Hayden, I co-direct Learn with CATO.

 

I am an Accredited Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), and I have been working with adults and young people in both the NHS and private practice since 2008.

Before specialising in CAT, I trained and worked as a registered Mental Health Nurse, and have accumulating over 30 years of experience supporting people of all ages and backgrounds with a wide range of mental health difficulties.

In my work as a CAT Supervisor, I’ve enjoyed collaborating with clinicians and professionals to identify their learning and development needs, and supporting them to achieve their professional goals.

My name is Hayden and I am a Co-Director of Learn with CATO.

Working with clients with Complex Emotional Needs is some of the most challenging and rewarding work in mental health. My training as a Cognitive Analytic Therapist, alongside my qualifications as a dual-registered Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurse, has helped me provide effective support for clients while maintaining my own sustainable practice since 2009.

​

Through senior management roles in the NHS and my position as Vice Chair of the Trustees at ACAT, I have gained a deep understanding of how organisations and teams function. This perspective enables me to support clinicians not only in developing their clinical skills but also in navigating organisational dynamics to improve patient outcomes and reduce burnout, which is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work at Learn with CATO.
