Our Story

We believe in the inherent capacity of staff to change lives. We help them to recognise and value their contribution to an individual’s recovery.

Our training equips staff to do the good, but often difficult work that they are passionate about.

About Learn with CATO

At Learn with CATO, we are committed to making Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and trauma-informed care accessible, practical, and highly impactful. We combine decades of clinical experience with robust relational values and modern teaching methods, seamlessly blending digital flexibility with deep in-person reflection.

We offer a diverse portfolio of training co-designed to meet the unique structural needs of modern healthcare, education, and community organizations:

  • Trauma-Informed Care: Purpose-built to support frontline workers, including those who do not typically access mental health training—such as midwives, reception staff, housing officers, and occupational health professionals across the NHS, private, and third sectors.

  • Introductory CAT Courses: Accessible, online, and on-demand foundations for assistants, trainees, and practitioners taking their first steps into the Cognitive Analytic framework.

  • Accredited Clinical Training: Featuring our ACAT-accredited CAT Skills for Case Management program, alongside a dedicated suite of specialized CPD courses.

Clinical Rigour & Peace of Mind:

All Learn with CATO tutors are fully ACAT and UKCP-accredited therapists, regulated by the Professional Standards Agency. As a fully insured training organisation, we guarantee safe, premium-tier learning experiences that meet stringent institutional standards.
